Mollyockett Pony Club (MPC) was founded November 17, 2001. The club was formed by six pony club members who desired to create a local club in South Central Maine.

Today our club consists of  nine active members ranging in ratings from D-1 to B, and in ages from 11-21.

During the winter months, we typically hold unmounted meetings every 2 weeks in the New Gloucester Firehouse. At these meetings we discuss different horse management topics. We have assignments, demonstrations, videos, play games etc. Once the weather breaks we hold both our unmounted and mounted meetings together, once/week at Snowfields in Pownal, ME. These meetings are generally held May - August. During the autumn months once school is in session, the club is usually busy with fundraisers and attending local events and shows.

In addition to our meetings the club spends time holding fundraisers, both for Mollyockett PC and the Northeast Region of PC. We hold our Mollyockett 2 Phase Event at the beautiful Runaway Ridge Farm in North Yarmouth Maine, to benefit our club.

Our club members and sponsors also volunteer at other Rallies, events etc. to benefit Pony Club's Northeast Region. Our members typically spend time attending rallies, Pony Club Camp, and attending clinics and seminars.

Not only does our club depend on the active participation of our club members, Mollyockett PC would not exist without the hard work and dedication of its parents.  Mollyockett PC is extremely fortunate in having some incredibly knowledgeable and dedicated folks who make the Pony Club experience one that the kids will value for many years to come.  These people have a vast array of experience and knowledge both in and out of the horse realm and this has made for a very successful club.

Caitlin Donahue

We are extremely fortunate to have Caitlin Donahue instructing our club members this summer. She is currently a B rated Pony Clubber and also has extensive training outside of PC.

Caitlin has ridden with eventing instructors such as Eric Horgan, Lucinda Greene, Karen O'Connor, Kerry Milliken, Ralph Hill and Debbie Place.

In November of 2007 Caitlin completed four years working with top dressage competitor, trainer and instructor, Susan Jacoma. Caitlin worked as Barn Manager, Rider, Groom and Assistant Trainer. She traveled to shows throughout the East Coast and Ohio, including grooming at the Pan Am Games in Rio de Janiero. Caitlin was also responsible for keeping all horses in shape mentally and physically for competitions when Sue was away. They spent May-Nov in Maine and the winter months in Wellington FL at the International Dressage Academy, with Olympic riders from all over the world riding and training there.

Caitlin also trained with the Chef d'Equippe from the Mexican Olympic Show Jumping team. She rode with "I" judge Lilo Fore and audited many clinics with clinicians such as Steffan Peters, and worked with Sue developing Musical Freestyles.

She then worked with Jenny Knight of Wolf Run Farm in Buxton, ME at the end of 2007, assisting with stallion handling and collection of semen.

Caitlin has evented through Training Level in Area 1 qualifying for the American Eventing Championships multiple times, and has successfully competed through 4th level dressage.

She is currently working out of Springpoint Farm in Durham, ME, teaching, riding and training. She also continues to prepare to take her HA. She earned her Traditional B rating in August 2006.

FACILITY

We have been extremely fortunate over the years that we have had use of the incredible facilities at Snowfields in Pownal, ME for all of our mounted meetings. The generosity of the O'brien family has made this possible. Every year the Snowfields 3 Phase Event is held at this same location.

At this location we have use of a Sand Dressage ring with stadium jumps and an incredible cross country course. Below are some photos of the facility.
